The Papers of Lloyd John Ogilvie, 1958-2006 documents the ministry of Lloyd John Ogilvie with special focus on his years at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood and his “Let God Love You” radio ministry. The collection also contains prayer manuscripts and special messages delivered by Dr. Ogilvie during his years as Chaplain of the United States Senate as well as personal correspondence.
There are three main components to the collection. The first is a complete collection of Dr. Ogilvie’s recorded sermons and teachings. The second is an extensive collection of Dr. Ogilvie’s sermon notes and manuscripts which compliment his recorded messages as well as a complete collection of his senate prayers and Bible study notes from his years as Senate Chaplain. The third component includes the books and articles which grew out of both pastoral and chaplaincy ministries. The printed materials have been catalogued as the Lloyd John Ogilvie Special Collection.
The collection includes personal letters, church ministry materials (including sermon notes, research material and church service bulletins), organizational and business materials related to Lloyd Ogilvie Ministries Inc., message transcripts from his ministry as Chaplain of the United States Senate, as well as awards, letters of recognition and book manuscripts.
