The collection includes Keith Smith's files, notes and papers as a student at Nazarene Theological Seminary from 1948 to 1952, the third entering class, and also at Boston University, 1952-1954. Of interest to historians of the denomination are the research files he kept in preparing his dissertation for Boston University, “History of the Church of the Nazarene in Maine, 1893-1920: the formative years.” Also included in the collection are the Church bulletins from the churches he pastored, Mystic Side Congregational Church, Everett-Malden, Mass., from December 1952 to1955, Church of the Nazarene, Bingham, Maine, from 1955 to 1965 and First Church of the Nazarene, Hartford, Connecticut, from 1965 to 2000.
